The staff offered such a friendly welcome! They stored my bike SECURELY. The room was nice. I found the evening food great. Breakfast was also very good.
The room was a little too hot, even after I turned off the radiators.

the team of staff were friendly, efficient and multitasking. our room was spacious and comfortable. a walnut wood coffee table was a nice touch in our room (i liked the detail!). the large shower in the spacious ensuite bathroom was great.
Our bed mattress was uncomfortable. I could feel a ridge and several round springs sticking in me. service in the restaurant in the evening and for breakfast was slow (we were glad we didn't want to get away in a hurry in the morning).

the hotel provided a clean and spacious room for our stay. plenty of parking was available. electric vehicle charging was on site, though i did not use it. the historic church across the road is worth a visit.

the evening meal and breakfast were both enjoyable. the bar was well stocked and comfortable. breakfast and evening meal were both good with plenty of choice (especially the breakfast). the portions are generous.

the location worked for my travel plans, i had no problems getting where i needed.
The cleanliness in my room was not great, i saw cobwebs and dust in corners. the bathroom looked like it needs some maintenance as there was mould in the shower area. the service at the restaurant was slow. I waited a long time before anyone took my order, even just for drinks.

Reception staff proved helpful during check-in, this was acceptable.
My room smelled heavily of damp mold lingered. The bed offered little comfort I barely slept. Dust coated surfaces in the bathroom showed a lack of proper cleaning. The furniture felt old needing a deep clean.

My room was quite spacious, it included a sofa for watching tv. The bathroom was a good size. I also appreciated that the hotel offered free parking (always a plus!).
The tv in my room did not work initially. A staff member kindly brought a replacement, but the remote didn't work this time. So i had no tv (a little disappointing).
